Welcome to my World

When I first played Minecraft, I think only classic mode existed, the game seemed like something different - I admired that, but not enough to get into it. I thought "What's the point?". Also - with such simple graphics, why was it not running smoother?

But later on, I read in a magazine about crafting tools, mining, monsters... I didn't remember any of that from before! And I LOVE mining, not sure why. When I played WoW I always took up mining.

So here we are, all addicted to Minecraft... At least I am, and you must be at least a little if your willing to read a complete strangers blog about it. (A small exception for my few RL friends - but you are probably hooked too)

Welcome to my world. Still unnamed, and slowly growing. I have a main base that was built into a natural structure, slowly expanded, fortified, and then connected to a network of portals. I have one more portal I want to build, and at each new location I will build something different.

I have:
my Main Base, a Quarry, a Natural Cave Base, an area of Flatlands for my son to build something in my world on, and two large bodies of water. I will build a floating island above one, perhaps to house my gold or other treasures, and an underwater base (especially now that we will have underwater mobs link). And who knows what awaits us on the next portal.
